True Blood’s Joe Manganiello Teases a New Side of Alcide
By Luke Kerr on January 19, 2012
Now here’s a quote that should stir up interest about the upcoming fifth season of True Blood. MTV caught up with Ryan Kwanten, Janina Gavankar, Carrie Preston and Joe Manganiello at the HBO Golden Globes party and Manganiello dropped this tidbit about his character Alcide Herveaux.
"We've seen that he's a sweet guy; we've seen that he's the kind of guy that would be great in a relationship," Joe said. "I think that you're going to be introduced to a side of him that's going to slam you up against the wall and go for it."
In other True Blood news, Deadline is reporting that Twilight and Sanctuary star Christopher Heyerdahl has been cast as Dieter Braun, “an ancient, powerful vampire who plays a large part in the intelligence of the Authority and especially enjoys enhanced interrogation.”

True Blood Recap: "And When I Die"
By Jenna Dorsi on September 12, 2011

This week's True Blood starts with Jesus (Kevin Alejandro) and Marnie-as-Lafayette (Fiona Shaw / Nelsan Ellis) having a leisurely breakfast. Despite Jesus and his possession-prone lover never working out a kind of "safe word" to make sure Lafayette's Lafayette, Jesus figures out pretty quickly that Marnie has overtaken Lafayette. And if he wasn't sure, Marnie stabbing him with a fork made it clear. Marnie's back because she still wants to eradicate vampires. She's also pissed at Jesus for the role he played in her demise, and wants her former friend's demon-brujo magic. At first, Jesus plays dumb about how to transfer it, but after Marnie starts mutilating Lafayette's body, he starts the spell. It ends with Marnie having to spear Jesus through the heart at the end of it, effectively killing the endearing male nurse. READ MORE
True Blood Recap: "Soul of Fire"
By Jenna Dorsi on September 06, 2011
So much happened this week on True Blood, and it was pretty spectacular. Jason (Ryan Kwanten) stops the VAMP team from trying to blow up the witch emporium, and informs them of the killer force field. Apparently, Bill (Stephen Moyer) actually thought Sookie (Anna Paquin) would stay away because he said so. Eric (Alexander Skarsgard) knew better.
After Marnie (Fiona Shaw) kills one of her former followers, Antonia’s spirit breaks free, so Marnie has to use a spell to bind them back together. Lafayette (Nelsan Ellis) relates this to the other captives and Jesus (Kevin Alejandro) tells him they’re all screwed. Using the dead girl’s body and his brujo powers he secretly works with Lafayette to unbind the two witches. Meanwhile, the others convince Marnie to negotiate with the vampires. READ MORE
