Last week’s The Vampire Diaries ended with Caroline (Candice Accola) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan) sharing a moment that should have Caroline and Tyler (Michael Trevino) fans worried.  Zap2it participated in a TVD press conference where Trevino revealed Tyler’s more than willing to fight for Caroline.

"I remember reading it, and... I didn't think much of it. I'm like 'Okay, I don't think that would last.' But then I saw the episode, and I'm like, once they put the music in, and then Joseph's getting all emotional, I'm like 'Aw, man!' It was a really, really good scene, but I hope it doesn't last. I don't like it."

 

"I would like a showdown. I know Julie [Plec] would write something epic. It'd be really good. Plus, just for me, with any kind of showdown, it's great to work with a great actor, and Joseph's pretty solid,"

However, before Tyler can face Klaus he’s going to have to deal with Caroline’s dad. Tonight on TVD, Bill (Jack Coleman) is back in Mystic Falls.  Meanwhile, Bonnie (Kat Graham) believes she’s figured out a way to open the coffins.  Watch two promos for The Vampire Diaries’ “The Ties That Bind” after the jump!

Now here’s a quote that should stir up interest about the upcoming fifth season of True Blood. MTV caught up with Ryan Kwanten, Janina Gavankar, Carrie Preston and Joe Manganiello at the HBO Golden Globes party and Manganiello dropped this tidbit about his character Alcide Herveaux.

"We've seen that he's a sweet guy; we've seen that he's the kind of guy that would be great in a relationship," Joe said. "I think that you're going to be introduced to a side of him that's going to slam you up against the wall and go for it."
 

In other True Blood news, Deadline is reporting that Twilight and Sanctuary star Christopher Heyerdahl has been cast as Dieter Braun, “an ancient, powerful vampire who plays a large part in the intelligence of the Authority and especially enjoys enhanced interrogation.”

After the pivotal casting of Cassie’s (Britt Robertson) father John Blackwell, with One Life to Live alum Joe Lando, it appears The Secret Circle isn’t done casting. According to Zap2it,  TSC has cast Alexia Fast as Eva, Lee LaBeque’s (Grey Damon) ex-girlfriend who has been in drug-induced coma.

Though she was once "sweet and demure," upon opening her eyes after the coma, Eva has some "cracks" in her personality. Something is seriously not right with her -- which only becomes more apparent when she meets the new lady in Lee's life, Faye. (Cue ominous music now!)

Considering the chemistry simmering between Phoebe Tonkin’s Faye and Damon’s Lee, and knowing how easily Faye gets jealous, one can’t imagine she’s going to be pleased by this development.  Fast’s first episode will be episode 115, “Return.”

There hasn’t been a whole lot of good news in Mystic Falls lately, but Elena (Nina Dobrev) and Bonnie (Kat Graham) want to celebrate Caroline’s (Candice Accola) birthday on The Vampire Diaries.  Things get bloody when Stefan (Paul Wesley) starts beheading Klaus’ (Joseph Morgan) hybrids. Is Stefan putting his and Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) strategy to get rid of Klaus on the line and can Damon or Elena stop him?

The Circle is put in danger as Faye’s (Phoebe Tonkin) quest for individual magic has unintended side effects on her friends. Meanwhile, Adam (Thomas Dekker) helps Cassie (Britt Robertson) look into her father’s past on The Secret Circle.
