Mediate This: USA's Fairly Legal Premieres Friday

I’m having a difficult time trying to decide if USA or Showtime is my favorite cable channel. Showtime has my beloved Weeds, Dexter, Nurse Jackie, The Big C, United States of Tara and I can’t wait for the upcoming The Borgias. On the other hand, USA has the equally enjoyable White Collar, Psych, Royal Pains, Burn Notice and one of my new summer favorites Covert Affairs.

This Friday, January 20, USA debuts its latest new series, Fairly Legal. Starring Sarah Shahi, Michael Trucco, Baron Vaughn and Virginia Williams, Fairly Legal follows Shahi’s Kate Reed, who becomes a legal mediator after she grows frustrated with the legal system.

Considering the glut of lawyer dramas out there, I’m looking forward to a refreshing take on the law. Of course, I knew I'd be checking out Fairly Legal when I saw Gerald McRaney, the star of one of my favorite 80's series Simon and Simon, portrays a judge in the trailer. (Editor's Note: Screw Simon and Garfunkel, that's Dash Goff —The Writer!) Watch the Fairly Legal promo after the jump!
