The CW Announces Fall Premiere Dates

September can’t come soon enough, as fans wait impatiently for the return of The CW favorites Gossip Girl, 90210, The Vampire Diaries and Nikita or anticipate the premieres of The Secret Circle, Hart of Dixie and Sarah Michelle Gellar’s Ringer. Thankfully, on June 20, The CW released the fall premiere dates for its series. If you are wondering about One Tree Hill, it will return at midseason. Check them out after the jump!
Bethany Joy Galeotti Re-ups One Tree Hill Contract

Remember Glee’s Super Bowl episode when Brittany (Heather Morris) says, “I don’t want to die yet. At least, not until One Tree Hill gets cancelled?” Well, here’s a bit of good news for One Tree Hill fans waiting to find out if the primetime soap will return for another season. According to TV Line, Bethany Joy Galeotti has signed on the dotted line if it returns for a ninth season.
Although Tree Hill has yet to be renewed, the fact that Galeotti has reupped her contract for another season bodes well for the long-running drama’s future.
Reportedly, Sophia Bush, Austin Nichols, Robert Buckley, Lisa Goldstein and Jana Kramer are already on board for another season.

Why The CW Should Hold a Reality Competition to Replace Dawn Ostroff

The CW is preparing to transition into new era of management. According to the New York Post, CBS and Warner Bros. are interviewing 10 candidates to replace The CW's entertainment president Dawn Ostroff, when she leaves the network later this year.
One source said CBS boss Les Moonves and Warner Bros. CEO Barry Meyer have been in discussions about the future of the network, including whether the venture continues to make sense for both parties. CW is seen as a valuable outlet for Warner's programming.
CBS insiders, however, insisted both partners are committed to the joint venture.
Don’t expect Ostroff’s departure to overturn the egg basket, as it were. Reportedly, Ostroff is still the one choosing The CW’s new series for next fall. READ MORE
One Tree Hill's Bethany Joy Galeotti Gives Birth to Daughter

One Tree Hill and former Guiding Light star Bethany Joy Galeotti and husband Michael Galeotti recently received a special delivery from the stork, according to CBS Soaps Depth. The couple named their first child, a daughter, Maria. Congratulations to the couple!
