Gossip Girl's Secret is Out!
By Luke Kerr on January 31, 2012
Gossip Girl’s executive producers promised breathtaking final minutes for the teen soap's100th episode, and boy did they deliver! Not only did Dan (Penn Badgley) whisk away a runaway bride Blair (Leighton Meester), but after 100 episodes, we finally learned the identity of the mysteriously malevolent Gossip Girl!
The revelation that Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) is Gossip Girl was a fantastic way to end a show’s 100th episode, but it creates more questions thananswers. Has Georgina always been Gossip Girl? If she has been, then how has Gossip Girl remained fairly neutral, while the Georgina we know and love has always had an agenda? If she’s a new Gossip Girl, then who was the original Gossip Girl? Is Kristen Bell still going to be doing the show’s voice over? TVLine caught up with Josh Safran and asked him to weigh in the reveal everyone is talking about:
HAS GEORGINA ALWAYS BEEN GOSSIP GIRL? | Safran wouldn’t comment, but he did confirm that Georgina “has this role” now, so she’ll be sticking around to “get even more dirt and gossip…and cause so much more trouble.” The reveal will also take viewers behind the curtain with the wizard. “You’re now invited into a process that for years you haven’t seen,” he explains. “Seeing just how Gossip Girl gets her tips and what she does to get her tips is really fun and a new thing.” And don’t worry, Veronica Mars fans, Kristen Bell’s voice-overs aren’t going anywhere.
Georgina sticking around? Gossip Girl just shot to the top of my Monday night DVR list. In the same interview with TVLine, Safran teases what’s in store for Dan and Blair the rest of the season. I’m just looking forward to next week’s “The Backup Dan” because who doesn’t love a runaway bride storyline? Watch the preview after the jump READ MORE

“You have to see [the last few minutes] to believe them. I really think they will take people’s breath away,”

Dan Finally Becomes a Contender For Blair on Gossip Girl
By Luke Kerr on January 17, 2012
"Dair" fans have been begging to see more of their favorite almost-pairing on Gossip Girl. Now it looks like they’re going to get their wish, as Dan (Penn Badgley) makes a stronger play Bair’s (Leighton Meester) heart in the second half of the season, which began last night. E! spoke with the show’s executive producer Josh Safran about Dan's chances with Blair:
Dan Become a Contender: Make way for Dan, Chuck and Louis, because he's becoming a viable contender in the fight for Blair's love. "What I said at the top of the season was this was pretty much going to be a romantic love triangle between Chuck, Louis and Blair and that Dan was going to be more a friend of Blair," Safran explains. "This second half of the season, that triangle absolutely becomes a square in a major way. That is where that story is going." Dair fans: Rejoice! Chuck/Blouis fans: React!
As for that spoiler about Dan writing Louis' vows, Safran says he was a bit peeved about that leaking out because the "reveal is in the last five minutes of the episode." He would tell us that "just because the audience finds out Dan wrote the vows doesn't mean Blair finds out."
Did Blair’s pact with god save Chuck’s (Ed Westwick) life? Blair seemed to think so in Monday’s episode and The Hollywood Reporter got the scoop from Safran about Blair’s outlook. READ MORE

Michelle Trachtenberg Returns to Gossip Girl!
By Luke Kerr on November 01, 2011
Elizabeth Hurley who? The Gossip Girl guest star I enjoy most–Michelle Trachtenberg as Georgina Sparks–is returning to the Upper East Side for a “sizable” story arc, according to TVLine.
“Her first episode back is our 100th episode,” Safran reveals of the show’s milestone outing, which is set to air in early 2012. “Her arc is unlike anything that she has done before on the show. Of course, she still is Georgina and all that implies, it’s just taking that in a new direction.”

Goddesses of Vengeance: 10 Primetime Vixens Who've Made Revenge an Artform
By Jamey Giddens on October 26, 2011
While TV audiences are loving every minute of Amanda Clarke/Emily Thorne's (Emily VanCamp) deliciously-wicked plot to avenge her father on ABC's smash Wednesday night sudser Revenge, Em's antics are far from groundbreaking. The seemingly-sweet, yet deadly-as-a-pitbull socialite hails from a long line of primetime drama queens who knew all-too-well that revenge is a dish best served after dark.
10.) Amanda Clarke/Emily Thorne, Revenge
Hell hath no fury like a cherubic little girl, whose idyllic life was turned upside down. When Amanda Clarke's (Emily VanCamp) father was hauled out of their magical, Hamptons beach house and framed for a crime he didn't commit, she lost everything. Flash forward to Amanda learning the truth—that her late father's mistress Victoria Grayson (Madeleine Stowe) had conspired with her husband Conrad (Henry Cznery), and their treacherous inner circle of vipers, to make the world believe Amanda's dad David Clarke (James Tupper) had betrayed his country by funding terrorists—and it's easy to see why this particular East Coast heiress has more on her mind than Spring Fashion Week.
Now all grown up and going by a new name, butter-wouldn't-melt-in-her-mouth socialite Emily Thorne is determined to pay back all of her father's enemies one-by-one on ABC's Revenge. Whether it's drugging one of her target's soup, in order to out his extramarital indiscretions with his wife's best friend, or getting her oddball, tech wunderkind minion Nolan (Gabriel Mann) to literally computer hack apart the lives of those who cross her, Emily is proving she will stop at nothing to get justice for her father.
I guess we'll just have to wait and see if falling in love with childhood crush Jack Porter (Nick Wechsler), a townie in financial trouble; or Daniel (Joshua Bowman), the Grayson's dreamboat scion (Or both!) will be enough to derail Emily's plans. Let's hope not, because we're having entirely too much fun watching the mega rich and misbehaving get what's coming to 'em!
