Which Scripted Sunday Show Must You Watch Live?

With the holidays over, Sunday night television roared back with the midseason returns of Once Upon a time, The Good Wife, Desperate Housewives and Pan Am. Adding pressure to the DVR, was the debut of NBC’s The Firm, Showtime’s House of Lies, the Absolutely Fabulous anniversary episode and the season premieres of Shameless, Californication and Downton Abbey. However, the true benchmark of a "must see" show is one so important we insist on watching it live, instead of waiting to fast forward through the commercials.

Who Is Bobby Ewing's Latest Wife? Dallas' Brenda Strong Reveals All

Just who in Sam Hill is Bobby Ewing's (Patrick Duffy) new wife on TNT's Dallas continuation? The Hollywood Reporter got the skinny from Desperate Housewives alum Brenda Strong who will appear in the new series as Ann Ewing.

Tell me about your character.

Brenda Strong: Ann Ryland Ewing is Bobby Ewing’s new wife, new of seven years, new to the audience certainly, but not new to Bobby. Because she is a younger wife, she is the bridge between the older generation and the new generation that we’re going to be getting to know. So, she is the glue… And she does have a secret that will eventually start to unravel, some things between she and Bobby that they will have to reconcile.

Did ABC’s Once Upon a Time Cast Its Spell on You?

The ratings are in for ABC’s Once Upon a Time and they are magical. According to TVLine, the epic fantasy series premiered to 12.8 million viewers against NBC football and game four of the World Series.

In fact, it’s ABC’s biggest audience in the time period with regular programming since March 2008 and its best 18-49 performance there in three years.

One of my three most anticipated new series of the fall–along with Revenge and Ringer–the show perfectly blended the worlds of magic and the modern day Storybrooke.  Starring Ginnifer Goodwin, Jennifer Morrison, Robert Carlyle, Lana Parrilla and Josh Dallas, Once Upon a Time casts a spell on viewers with its story of love, sacrifice, family and evil. Desperate Housewives helped make Sunday nights destination TV. If Once Upon a Time’s season is even half as good as its pilot, ABC has found a worth heir.
