If you watched the Giants beat the Patriots last night in the Super Bowl it was virtually impossible to miss NBC’s trailers for The Voice and newcomer Smash. Starring Oscar winner Anjelica Huston, Emmy winner Debra MessingAmerican Idol’s Katharine McPhee and Jack Davenport, NBC desperately needs Smash to be a ratings success.

Fortunately, the hype isn’t overblown. NBC offered the pilot on iTunes and it t was so good I intend to watch it again and I've already set the series up to record on my DVR.  TV Guide’s Damian Holbrook recently served up a preview of Smash, on the Pop Confidential podcast, from his visit to the Smash set. However, if you can’t listen to the podcast while at work, check out On The Set: The Curtain Rises for NBC's Smash at TV Guide.

Pretty Little Liars: Top 5 Moments from "A Kiss Before Lying"

1.  Is Maya the girl for Emily?  Maya and Emily (Shay Mitchell) are hot and heavy on this week’s Pretty Little Liars.  Luckily A is ignoring them for now, but their relationship hits a snag when Emily’s mother comes to visit.  Things have been really good between mother and daughter since Mrs. Fields accepted her daughter’s sexuality, but Maya still isn’t over her role in getting her sent to wilderness juvie.  When they all go out to dinner Maya sabotages the whole night, by behaving inappropriately and acting nasty.  Emily is not pleased.  Later Maya apologizes to Emily and makes one of those grand romantic gestures TV characters are prone to—Maya recreates what it’s like to be underwater, in her bedroom.  This succeeds in melting the banished swimmer’s heart.  She and Emily exchange “I love yous,” then hit the sheets. Gossip Girl's Secret is Out!

Gossip Girl’s executive producers promised breathtaking final minutes for the teen soap's100th episode, and boy did they deliver! Not only did Dan (Penn Badgley) whisk away a runaway bride Blair (Leighton Meester), but after 100 episodes, we finally learned the identity of the mysteriously malevolent Gossip Girl!

The revelation that Georgina (Michelle Trachtenberg) is Gossip Girl was a fantastic way to end a show’s 100th episode, but it creates more questions thananswers. Has Georgina always been Gossip Girl? If she has been, then how has Gossip Girl remained fairly neutral, while the Georgina we know and love has always had an agenda? If she’s a new Gossip Girl, then who was the original Gossip Girl? Is Kristen Bell still going to be doing the show’s voice over? TVLine caught up with Josh Safran and asked him to weigh in the reveal everyone is talking about:

HAS GEORGINA ALWAYS BEEN GOSSIP GIRL? | Safran wouldn’t comment, but he did confirm that Georgina “has this role” now, so she’ll be sticking around to “get even more dirt and gossip…and cause so much more trouble.” The reveal will also take viewers behind the curtain with the wizard. “You’re now invited into a process that for years you haven’t seen,” he explains. “Seeing just how Gossip Girl gets her tips and what she does to get her tips is really fun and a new thing.” And don’t worry, Veronica Mars fans, Kristen Bell’s voice-overs aren’t going anywhere.

Georgina sticking around? Gossip Girl just shot to the top of my Monday night DVR list. In the same interview with TVLine, Safran teases what’s in store for Dan and Blair the rest of the season.  I’m just looking forward to next week’s “The Backup Dan” because who doesn’t love a runaway bride storyline?
