Tina Fey Responds to Tracy Morgan's Anti-Gay Rant

Tracy Morgan recently drew a lot of ire from the LGBT community when he "joked" during a comedy stint in Tennessee that he would stab his son if he turned out to be an effeminate gay man. Since then, Morgan has apologized for the rant:

“I want to apologize to my fans and the gay and lesbian community for my choice of words at my recent stand-up act in Nashville. I’m not a hateful person and don’t condone any kind of violence against others,” Morgan said. “While I am an equal opportunity jokester, and my friends know what is in my heart, even in a comedy club this clearly went too far and was not funny in any context.”

Now his 30 Rock co-star and boss, Tina Fey, has responded publicly to the issue. TV Line has the full story and you can read Fey's statement after the jump.

30 Rock Wanted Bill Clinton for 100th Episode!

Looks like Bill Clinton isn't trying to follow in the footsteps of late President Richard Nixon, who famously appeared on Laugh In during the 70's. The New York Post is reporting 30 Rock wanted the ex-Commander in Chief for a guest spot on their upcoming 100th episode. Tina Fey herself came up with the idea. Unfortunately, it did not happen. The request was reportedly denied by Clinton's camp without even asking him.

Fey and Carell Take Moviegoers on Date Night (Trailer)

I'm looking forward to seeing two of America's top, comedic talents, Tina Fey and Steve Carell, link up in Date Night, the upcoming Shawn Levy romantic comedy. Date Night has Fey and Carell starring as Claire and Phil Foster, a suburban, married couple so desperate to spice up their love life they end up involved in one larger-than-life predicament after another, battling crooked cops and mobsters along the way.

After conquering Saturday Night Live, Mean Girls, 30 Rock and Baby Mama, Fey is more than ready  to take the lead opposite comedy's current "it" guy Carell. The Office star's career has been on a meteoric rise ever since his breakthrough performance in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy. Carell and Fey seem a match made in blockbuster heaven. That being said, I'm not sure this trailer does them or the movie justice. Here's hoping the complete film turned out better than the teaser. See you at the opening, front and center.
