There will be two huge exits on Gossip Girl! According to TV Line, both Taylor Momsen (Jenny) and Jessica Szohr (Vanessa) will not be returning as series regulars for the fifth season of the CW's guilty pleasure. The girls have been invited back as guest stars. Both actresses have seen their characters reduced in screen time and storylines recently. Momsen in particular has reportedly been difficult on set, and has also made it clear that she would prefer to focus on a music career. Meanwhile, the five primary cast members -- Blake Lively (Serena), Leighton Meester (Blair), Chace Crawford (Nate), Penn Badgley (Dan) and Ed Westwick (Chuck) are all slated to return as series regulars.

People is reporting Gossip Girl stars Penn Badgley and Blake Lively have called it quits. The co-stars have been romantically linked since 2007, with the pair initially claiming only friendship. The stars went public with their romance a year later.

Hilary Duff has decided to make the move like The Jeffersons to the Upper East Side. According to Entertainment Weekly, the actress/singer has landed a role on Gossip Girl starting Oct 5. Duff will play Olivia Burke, a movie star who heads to New York University for the ordinary college life. NYU also happens to be the school that Dan (Penn Badgely), Blair (Leighton Meester), and Vanessa (Jessica Szohr) will attend. Olivia will also become roommates with Vanessa. Let the drama begin...
