House guest star and former General Hospital fave Amber Tamblyn and Arrested Development alum David Cross are engaged, according to Life & Style. Reportedly, the couple has been “engaged for weeks.” Congratulations to Tamblyn and Cross!

Variety is reporting negotiations between Universal Media Studios and Fox for an eighth season of House have raised the question of whether-or-not the popular medical drama will be a part of Fox’s May upfront presentation. Reportedly, 

UMS, owned by NBCUniversal, has given Fox an extension on the window of negotiation exclusivity. That ends Friday. If the two sides can't come to an agreement, UMS will offer the show to competing networks including, of course, the Peacock, which would likely be more than happy to take the series away from Fox.

In other House related news, working Dr. House appears to have paid off for Amber Tamblyn. According to Deadline, House executive producer Katie Jacobs, The Wire co-creator Ed Burns and Tamblyn have received a script commitment for a new project starring Tamblyn as “a young teacher in the world of public education in America.”

Meanwhile, Zap2it is reporting Olivia Wilde will return to House for its 150th episode as Thirteen on April 11. READ MORE

Confession time. It’s been awhile since I've watched Fox’s House. It is one of those shows I enjoy  when I have a chance to catch it, but I rarely go out of my way to tune in. That changes tonight as former General Hospital star—and the best Emily Bowen Quartermaine—Amber Tamblyn guests as brilliant, but socially awkward third year medical student Martha Masters. In an interview with Zap2it, Tamblyn previews her character.

"She's incredibly smart. Annoyingly smart. Exhaustingly smart. It's kind of a social handicap and of course House loves that -- she's 10 to 20 years younger than all of the other people on his team and she sort of puts it to them," Tamblyn explains. "No one on the team is particularly attracted to her, they're kind of annoyed by her. Her way of communication is very special. She's kind of the little sister they all tease." READ MORE

James Franco and Slum Dog Millionaire director Danny Boyle have teamed up in 127 Hours to tell the real-life story of Aron Ralston, a mountain climber who was forced to cut off his arm to free himself after being stuck beneath a boulder for five days in 2003.
