Review of The Proposal

The new recent comedy by Ryan Reynolds and Sandra Bullock has gotten much negative play but may not be as bad as advertised. I found the film to have some rather bright moments and with Betty White running the family a few redeeming qualities. What I did not like was the chemistry between the two main characters. They just do not belong in a film together. The closest comparison I could come up with quickly is the truly fun film How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days. Matthew McConaughey and Kate Hudson had great chemistry and from the first seemed made for each other. Of course Sandra Bullock doesn't do well as a bitchy boss either (see The Devil Wears Prada) and I did not like seeing her so. READ MORE
