I have to agree 110% with Fight Club and there are a few others on his list that I enoy like Insider, Matrix, Speed, Shaun of the Dead, and Team America but I would not put them on my top 20.

I am surprised that the list didn't include The Departed, Shawshank Redemption, Slumdog Millionaire, No Country for Old Men and Se7en.

Whoa... Is this really Tarantino's list???? "Anything Else" ?! Seriously?? That movie sucked!! And this is coming from a Woody Allen fan.

I like a lot of the movies: Blade, Boogie Nights, Fight Club, Matrix, Speed, Unbreakable (which I liked a lot better than Sixth Sense), Friday. But I don't know that I would have picked them as my Top Picks since 1992.

Dogville was interesting but I wouldn't say it was good.

Dazed & Confused and Lost in Translation: waaaaay overrated, imo.

Maybe we should make our own lists??

I also think that Lost in Translation is way overrated.  I saw last year and thought it was pretentious.  Still its a movie with Scarlett Johansson so I didn't hate it.

I think it would be great idea to make our own top 20 list.

I know I do Craig but I just don't like older movies.  I've tried to watch many classics and they are just boring to me.  I even tried listning to you guys on the MJ Podcast and I watched Some Like it Hot, Arsenic and Old Lace, and Mr Chips and didn't like any of them.

Here are a few that I have seen that I like...

Alien
12 Angry Men (57)
Day the Earth Stood Still (1951)
Goodfellas
It's A Wonderful LIfe
Mr. Smith Goes to Washington
Rear Window
Rope
Star Wars (77)
Sting

Oh man, it's going to be hard to come up with my Top 25 of all time! Do you think we should start a new thread for that? Do you think anyone else will post theirs?

I like a lot of the movies you chose Lost - especially Goodfellas, 12 Angry Men, Fight Club, Pulp Fiction, Amelie. I bought Hot Fuzz awhile ago but I still haven't watched it yet. HATED Saving Private Ryan with a passion though, lol.

Okay, I'll think about my list. For me, it'll be interesting to see if I have any movies after 1980 on my list, lol.
