This is tough. I'm not sure if I have just one favorite. The Philadelphia Story, which also starred Cary Grant and Jimmy Stewart, is a classic romantic comedy. The dialogue was amazing, the characters were interesting and the acting was brilliant. Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, another favorite of mine, was a topical and timely film when it was released. Adam's Rib and On Golden Pond are two more Katharine Hepburn films that I love.
I think Adam's Rib is my favorite. that movie is just about perfect. But, so many others are awesome also
My absolute favorite Hepburn film is bringing up baby. The story is so much fun and with Cary Grant costarring there is no other that shows off their comedic talents so well. It is there best together and a great love story too. Though Philadelphia is pretty awesome too... Check out Pat and Mike and The Rainmaker too which are great examples of her work, and little women an early but charming performance.
The Lion in the Winter is my favorite movie of hers. All the double crossing, lying, cheating, etc. Love that movie.
Tough one. My pick is The Philadelphia Story.
