Madonna on M.I.A.'s Super Bowl Antics: "A Teenager, Irrelevant Thing To Do"

Hell hath no fury like the Material Girl involving her performance. Madonna called into The Ryan Seacrest show yesterday to dish about her performance at Super Bowl XLVI  last Sunday. Seacrest asked the singer about her thoughts regarding M.I.A flipping the bird during their half time show extravaganza. Seems as though Madge was totally out of the loop about what the rapper/singer had planned. Madonna stated:

I was really surprised. I didn't know anything about it. I wasn't happy about it. I understand it's punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy and positivity; it seemed negative. It's such a teenager, irrelevant thing to do. ... There was such a feeling of love and unity there. What was the point? It was just out of place.

Ouch. Listen to the entire interview below.

I don't blame her, she didn't do it in rehearsals, and she made it about her. But Madonna told Carson Daly that MIA apologized so that's good.
