Just when will Elena (Nina Dobrev) finally get it together and decide on the Salvatore brother she wants the most? That is the question diehard fans of The Vampire Diaries would like to know. After Elton's Jim Halterman caught up with the show's sexy lead, Ian Somerhalder (Damon) to get his take on if his alter ego should win the tragic teen's heart.

Honestly, I want what’s going to be the most interesting to happen…I think Matt or Tyler (Michael Trevino) or even like the family dog would have a better chance of getting Elena than Damon would. The things that this man has done to this poor teenage girl [are] just an insurmountable amount of bad. I just can’t foresee her turning unless he can just get her away from vervain (an herb that also happens to be a vampire’s weakness) and just compel her to forget everything he’s ever done. So, it’s an interesting question…I mean, killing someone’s brother is totally the best way to say I love you!
