Sean "Diddy" Combs to Launch Music Network

Music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs is adding a new label to his multi-hyphenated name — cable TV founder. According to Broadcasting & Cable, Combs is gearing up to launch Revolt, a music-themed network that is set to debut on Dec. 12. According to the site, Revolt will contain music and music news that will have an audience geared towards African-Americans.
Combs will partner up with Time Warner Cable and Comcast, which will distribute the network. So far, Comcast, Timer Warner and Combs are keeping mum about the deal. Sources from Time Warner have told Broadcasting & Cable that the cable provider has talked with Combs about Revolt. However, Diddy isn't commenting. Meanwhile, a Comcast rep would not confirm involvment with Combs.
A Comcast rep would not confirm Diddy's involvement, saying no announcements had been made on which among the "well over 100" proposals are getting the green light. The rep said discussions with the proposals' principals are ongoing, and that Comcast hoped to have an announcement soon.
