Hart of Dixie Showrunner: "We Knew That We Had a Star When We Cast Wilson Bethel as Wade"

Hart of Dxie's showrunners knew they had a good thing (Not to mention a hot one!) when they saw one, which is why The CW fish-out-of-water sudser cast The Young and the Restless scene stealer Wilson Bethel to play randy, good ol' boy Wade.

Fans of the series know Wade has done more to raise Dr. Zoey Hart's (Rachel Bilson) temp than any Southern heat wave ever could this season, which has viewers split on who Zoey should end up with — rowdy Wade or kind-hearted lawyer George (Scott Porter)? Here's what executive producer Leila Gerstein shared with our pals at Zap2it about the Wade/Zoey/George triangle reaching a fever pitch in the coming weeks: 
 

"We knew that we had a star when we cast Wilson Bethel as Wade," she teases, adding that in the second half of the season they'll be amping up the love triangle big time. "I think that the love triangles and the shifting focus as to who we want her to be with is what's going to keep the show interesting."
