Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice Crossover in The Works
Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) may not have crossed over to Private Practice from Grey’s Anatomy for the spinoff’s powerful November intervention episode, but it turns out another crossover is in the works. According to TV Guide, Addison Montgomery (Kate Walsh) and Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) will both appear on Grey’s Anatomy in February, while Derek and Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh) will appear on Private Practice.
Following the "If/Then" episode of Grey's — in which Kate Walsh will appear in an alternate reality that sees Ellis Grey (Kate Burton) alive and Addison and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) still married — Caterina Scorsone's Amelia will head to Seattle Grace for an episode slated for mid-February. Details are scarce, but both Derek and Lexie (Chyler Leigh) will also appear in the Private Practice hour of the crossover.

There are times that I wish Shonda would merge GA and PP into one show and get rid of a few characters.

I used to love these two shows so much. I honestly cannot say when I started losing whatever interest I had in them.
The only thing I like about Grey's Anatomy now is that hot doctor, Jackson Avery. If I ever met that guy in real life, I would probably lose my cool completely and throw myself at his feet.

Cancel PP and get Kate Walsh and Caterina Scorsone over to GREY'S and portray Addison as the woman she used to be again. It's kind of sad what happened to her. I watched PP and even thought that after a miserable start the show turned around. But after Addison risked her friendship to Naomi because of Sam ... and in the end messed up that relationship too, I'm just tired of her ever changing men. The worst story was Addison with Pete the second time around. Awful stuff!!!

Addison and Sam, Izzie and George were both two pairings that stunk to high heaven. Ugh. I liked Izzie and George as BFF's but what they did to Callie was horrible. Addison has horrible impulses and doing her BFF's ex-husband was dead wrong. Sam made it very clear that he has already raised one child and as a new grandparent was not looking forward to having another child. Plus, Addison making googly eyes at the new doctor while supposedly "sort of" with Sam was wrong.
If the rumors are true that some of the actors are leaving GA this year then I definitely would bring over Addison, Sam, Amelia, Charlotte, Violet, Pete and Cooper.
