The struggle for control of the Seven Kingdoms heats up in the second season of HBO’s Game of Thrones. Now the cable network has released a new teaser hinting even more intrigue and bloodshed, as Robert Baratheon's (Mark Addy) brother lays claim to his dead sibling's throne. Love this series, I recently discovered it & been catching up from 1st season. I love period pieces and man can they be SOOOO soapy and all the elements of good, delicious soapy goodness, power, lust, illicit sex, forbidden love...my type of soap. Same goes for PBS's Masterpiece "Downton Abbey" season 2 is coming up in January. Downton Abbey is UK period soap. It runs from episode to episode in soap formula. A cast is to die for, high value production, writing and actors is TOP notch with nothing but soap writing built around relationships...people relationships Check it out!

I'm so obsessed with GAME OF THRONES. I'm about 1/3 of the way through the 5th and current book. I can't wait for the new season to start.

harlee490, you make a great point. GoT certainly has elements of delicious soapy goodness and it's too bad that Luke's fellow podcasters' don't see that and are not feeling the love for this phenomenal show but to each their own. Luke, just know that when you talk up GoT, I and many others got your back.
