In an interview with Nylon, Gossip Girl’s Penn Badgley reveals he thinks "Blair (Leighton Meester) is Dan’s soul mate,” something Dair fans have known for a long time. Now of course Chair fans can and will make an extremely strong argument for Chuck (Ed Westwick) being Blair’s soul mate, but I think that both fan bases can agree, Louis (Hugo Becker) is NOT Blair’s soul mate. However, just to be fair to any Lair fans out there, I’ll include him in today’s poll.

Humphrey all the way! Chuck is borderline abusive, I just can no longer support such a toxic pairing. He and Blair bring out the absolute worst in each other, while Dan and Blair challenge each other in ways that no one else has before. I also adore the strong friendship that has developed between the two of them. There's a mutual respect there that's absolutely wonderful.
On top of that, without the Dair interaction, last season would've been a complete waste it was that terrible. They pretty much saved much of season 4. I really could've cared less about the Thorpe/Bass Industries story, or Serena's so-called relationship with Ben (not to mention fake Charlie).
Dair FTW!

DAN!!! I agree with all the above comments! Dan and Blair are so refreshing and have a connection. I will be very upset if hey don't end up together in the end. They are the only reason I'm still watching.

Chuck and Blair. No one compares to them. it's why Chuck trended after their scene. Hands down it's all Chuck and Blair.

Chuck, of course. They have ridiculous chemistry, not to mention they actually love each other- which seems like it should be a prerequisite for someone being your soulmate, and certainly rules out Dan.

Chuck for me, they both love each other and get each other fully (yes they both have done bad things but they do still love each other and more importantly they are both growing and learning from past mistakes). Dan and Blair may be soulmates in the context of friends but not more, I just don't see a successful romantic relationship.
Also, wow at Penn dissing Blake. Stellar ex-boyfriend you are Penny.

Now, why should I care about what Penn thinks when even he doesn't know why Blair is somehow Dan's soulmate? Because the reason he gave - him liking working with Leighton from an "intellectual" perspective on acting or whatever - has very little to do with Dan and Blair's characters and much less with whose soulmate Blair is.
But I will humour his comment and pretend that yes, Blair is Dan's soulmate. So? The fact remains; Dan is NOT Blair's soulmate. And unless describing your very EXISTENT feelings for someone as a GREAT LOVE, that is all-consuming and always pulls you in does not spell SOULMATES then I don't know what does.
My point is why is this even a question? Chuck and Blair are each other's soulmates.

As for Blair not "loving" Dan, I think that she does, she just doesn't know it yet. Whenever she's in a crisis anymore, she runs straight to Dan. He's become her rock, she hasn't confided in Serena about her pregnancy, she's confided everything in Dan.
I thought Chuck and Blair were crazy hot in Season 1 and half of Season 2. But by the end of season 2, their "will they/won't they" dynamic got really old, and in season 3, they actually were very boring when they were paired together. Hence the reason the GG writers had to create that awful story of Chuck convincing Blair to trade herself up to Uncle Jack to save his hotel. Which was the story that turned me against this pairing FOREVER. I don't know how anyone can want Blair to keep going back to a guy who was willing to let the woman he supposedly loves sleep with a man who almost RAPED Chuck's stepmother, all to save his business. And then, when it didn't happen, Chuck blamed HER. It was all HER fault. He may not have ever punched her in the face, but there is more than just physical abuse, there is emotional abuse, and yet she keeps going back for more, just like the woman who keeps going back to the guy who slaps her around. Because "he loves me more than anything", like that makes it okay. I even tuned out of the beginning of season 4 because I was so sickened over the way Chuck treated Blair, and yet she STILL was going to take him back, until finding out he slept with Jenny. But then she went back to him AGAIN. She keeps returning to this horrible man who only wants her when she's unavailable. Every single time she gives herself up to him he throws her away. Why do people still want her back with him? I don't care if people think they have chemistry, their relationship is sick. When he grabbed her arm at the end of last season and said "you're mine", was it supposed to be sexy? Chuck is a very messed up individual, he truly does not deserve to have happiness, because whenever it is handed to him, he throws it away for dysfunction.
End rant.

DAN!!!! Without question.
Chuck and Blair are a train wreck together that can't make it work. Has nothing to do with being soulmates.

And I think Dan is a hypocritical, judgmental douche who irritates me when he isn't boring me to death. But the writers love all the characters, including Chuck, so it doesn't matter who we like or dislike as viewers.
At the end of the day, Blair will never love anyone else the way she loves Chuck, and that's exactly why they're going to end up together.

Blair and Dan are the only reason why I watch the show now - oh, I also love the clothes, especially Lily's wardrobe.
