The CW Picks up Ringer For Full Season

Great news for Ringer and Sarah Michelle Gellar fans! According to The Hollywood Reporter, The CW has ordered a full season of Ringer. TV By The Numbers reports the ratings for last night’s episode climbed thirty-three percent, after dropping the previous week against New Girl. I won’t spoil it for those who still have “A Whole New Kind of Bitch” on your DVR, but for the second week in the row Ringer has ended with a need to tune back in cliffhanger.  If you missed the episode, featuring Y&R’s Billy Miller, I’d recommend checking it out.

Ringer is bad. I love SMG but the show just does not have any spunk, sex appeal, or something special. It needs a reboot. Quickly.

I am just happy to see a SCRIPTED show with good actors get to stick around for more than 2 episodes. In a world where reality TV has taken over, this is very refreshing.

I could barely watch the first show. Surprised it was picked up.

I agree that it is not quite good, but I have hope that it will right itself. The cast is superb. I find it mundane and that is worse than just downright awful because being horrible might be humorous. The Event was that for me last season. I watched just to see what lame cliches they came up with. It was practically a game. Ringer is almost there.

I still cannot get over the dead body that no one discovered. It was rolled up in a tarp and moved into a corner, shoved into a chest, started leaking through the chest, and was cell phone ringing from the chest. All while people were setting up for a party and then actually partied.

I am really hoping that Billy Miller did something for the show last night or whichever night it was on. I DVR everything and watch in order but just don't know what night it was on. Sarah looks kind of like, death warmed over. I can never understand why pale washed out blondes have to use so much black eye makeup and look so bad. I guess I am not among the in crowd, but it just does nothing for me.

I like the show, however in large part this is why I'm happy about it getting picked up. I won't pretend I don't like a small handful of reality shows, but by & large I prefer a scripted show any day.
