According to The Associated Press, Spartacus: Blood and Sand star Andy Whitfield has died. The late actor's manager announced he lost his battle with non-Hodgkin Lymphoma on Sunday at his home in Sydney. Whitfield was diagnosed with the illness 18 months ago, while getting ready for season two of the smash Starz show. Whitfield was 39. Such a shame. Andy really did make Spartacus more than just a blood and war show he trained so hard, he put everything he had into it being a success and he was a talented actor also.
Thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family he shall forever live on in our memories.

I won't go as far as to say that I won't watch the new show becuase Andy won't be apart of it. But I will say that he was the reason that I kept watching. The storyline hooked me, but Andy's protrayl of the title character kept me coming back every week. His character went through so much, and did what he had to do to get what he really wanted, and that was his wife. And when he learned that he had been played...loved watching that. Loved it. Andy will be missed.
