White Collar and Covert Affairs wrap their fantastic summer seasons tonight on USA Network and you aren’t going to want to miss a moment. On White Collar, Neal (Matt Bomer) and Mozzie (Willie Garson) scramble to keep the FBI from finding out they have the treasure. Meanwhile, on Covert Affairs, the extraction of a Chinese defector gets complicated for Annie(Piper Perabo), endangering her friends and family. Which of these two series had the best season? Remember everyone, "White Collar" is Prospect Park's other show, and it seems to be doing well.
They had a marathon on USA network today so I got to see 3-4 episodes.....and I think its a pretty damn good show. It gives me hope that they may do a pretty good job with AMC & OLTL, even with scaled back casts.
Frankly, soaps have done a pitiful job of adjusting to the times and new technology. They desperately needed to be updated, and after using the same model for 40 years....people should be surprised they lasted this long.
We will see changes, but not all of them will be for the worse. Putting out a damn good show with half the budget and half the cast is very doable if they update how they film & produce the shows, and have good story lines.
We'll see, but I am still hopeful..
