Torchwood: Miracle Day at Comic-Con And Tonight’s “Dead of Night”!
Whether you’re a long-time Torchwood and Doctor Who fan or one of the newly converted, you don't want to miss tonight’s episode, “Dead of Night,” on Starz. Meanwhile, lots of good stuff is coming out of Comic-Con about the Torchwood: Miracle Day season. That includes a Comic-Con preview you can watch after the jump, after watching the trailer for “Dead of Night.”
Zap2it published an article about Torchwood fans who still lament the death of Ianto Jones (Gareth David-Lloyd) in Torchwood: Children of Earth and also previews a sex scene between Captain Jack (John Barrowman) and a bartender in tonight’s episode.
UGO published Alexa Havins’ confession that she doesn’t think Esther will be “to reach Gwen Cooper’s (Eve Myles) level of badass, but the interesting thing will be seeing Esther slowly but surely absorbed into the ongoing sci-fi mystery.”
The best Torchwood news to come out of Comic-Con may be this. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Doctor Who’s Matt Smith wants Barrowman’s Captain Jack to return to Doctor Who for the 50th Anniversary episode. Let's hope that works out.

I'm still surprised how much I'm enjoying this season so far. I'm about 25 minutes into episode 2 right now, and how cute is Finn Wittrock as Danny the flight attendant? He's doing a lot with the very small role he has.
I hope so too, but I hope more that, by some miracle, Christopher Eccleston agrees to make an appearance for Who's 50th. I know it will never happen.

Ok first off I just gotta say the sex scene between Jack and the bartender is off the charts! It is intercut with equally hot sex between the doctor and the cia agent (haven't learned names yet). Whooooza!
I am not sure though about the show overall. It feels a little too Lost meets 4400 meets all of those kinds of shows. The only thing I have really gotten out of it is NEVER wish to be immortal. It is not what it is cracked up to be. I don't know what the explanation is but it is certain to be some sort of x files meets the big bad corporate/government conspiracy. Been done.
I will give it a few more eps to catch me but I am not wasting a summer waiting to find out that there is a big conspiracy and some alien or people from the future or the government or some drug company from fi corp. (sounds like a military organization Marine Corp, sempre fi) made everyone immortal so it could sell them drugs. I hope it digs deeper and gives us some really original and new story. But so far doesn't feel new. Feels regurgitated. In the mean time, I will look forward to more hot sex scenes!

@marknspromo I would STRONGLY recommend watching Torchwood: Children of Earth on Netflix if you haven't watched it already. It was fantastic. Miracle Day has been really good, but I don't think it's quite as good as Children of Earth. In fact, if you haven't watched the entire series, I'd recommend watching it on Netflix or renting it...Excellent.

Thanks for the Torchwood soopage, Luke.
I'm getting my geek on right now! i'm a little peeved that Starz won't let me watch the preview though, because I'm Canadian.
@Ifad, it was so awesome to see Finn Wintrock again! I hope he pops up in even more places.
