Betty White Turns Down Marine's Invitation

At least one celebrity won’t be able to attend the Marine Corps Ball in November. Hot on the heels of two Marine's invitations, accepted by Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake, Sgt. Ray Lewis asked Betty White on YouTube to be his date. According to the Los Angeles Times, the third celebrity invite wasn't the charm for Sgt. Lewis. Betty White’s publicist issued her statement, declining the invitation, because of filming conflicts with Hot in Cleveland.

"I am deeply flattered and truly appreciate the invitation," White said in a statement released by her publicist. "As everyone knows, I love a man in uniform ... but unfortunately I cannot accept, as I will be taping an episode of 'Hot in Cleveland.'"
