The Bachelor Couple "Still Together", But Ratings Take a Dip

This time around Bachelor Brad Womack gave audiences the ending they theoretically wanted, by actually choosing one of the two finalists to be his bride (Emily Maynard, who accepted). Only this time around, not as many viewers stuck around to see it. TV Line reports the two-hour season finale took a ratings dive, drawing in 13.8 million total viewers which is still respectable, but down 8 percent from last year's controversial finale. The demo rating was even more significant, as the show scored a 4.5, down 14% from last year.
While the rumor mill claimed the couple had already split, the official word from Camp Bachelor is they are still together albeit, working through some problems. Brad released this somewhat cryptic statement after the finale:
"At long last, Emily and I can be open to the world and each other about our relationship. Though we are madly in love, it has been a bumpy couple of months for us and our priority right now is to focus on our relationship. We hope that you can respect our privacy as we return to normalcy and begin our off-screen lives together.
