Katie Cassidy Joins James Wolk in ABC's Georgetown

Former Melrose Place star and Gossip Girl guest Katie Cassidy has landed on the ABC primetime soap pilot Georgetown, according to Deadline. Cassidy stars opposite former Lonestar star and As the World Turns grad James Wolk (Andrew Pierce) as Nikki, a junior White House staffer. Wolk’s Pierce is the youngest Presidential speech writer in history.

Every time I see her, I remember how SENSELESSLY Melrose Place 2.0 was taken off the air before it's time!! Sigh.

Katie Cassidy is AMAZING!!! She was the only good thing about the third season of "Supernatural", she made "Harper's Island" worth watching and she has became a favorite as Juliet Sharp in "Gossip Girl" to me.
And yeah, she pretty much was new the "Melrose Place". This woman rocks and I seriously hope "Georgetown" gets a series order.

soapy opie, that's like saying e.r. and Grey's Anatomy are the same. It is possible to have two shows in a similar setting, but be completely different.
