Who Will Play Christopher Ewing on TNT's Dallas?

Jesse Metcalfe? Wow they are hellbent on having this show be one of the worst acted things in the history of television aren't they?

Why are they casting hairmodels?? This show needs ACTORS. Is Camille whatever the casting director at Y&R is working for TNT too?

I do not know Alex's work. Jesse, when focused, can produce quality performances. However, I don't know if he would be the Christopher I would want...we will see. Either way, I am beyond pumped about TNT's "Dallas". I have high hopes and have my fingers crossed it will be GREAT!

This Dallas reboot is gonna suck.

Jesse Metcalfe sure is a cutie, but he's not a great actor. He was SLIGHTLY less wooden on his last "Desperate Housewives" stint, but he was DREADFUL on "Passions" and dreadful when he first started on DH during the first season. I have no idea how he keeps landing these cushy primetime roles, because aside from being drop dead gorgeous, I don't get what everyone else sees.

And I agree, this new 'Dallas' reboot doesn't seem to be getting off to a good start, casting wise, with the exception of Jordana Brewster and the original cast members. It is starting to sound like a REALLY, REALLY, REALLY bad "straight to DVD," Saturday night CBS special sort of deal, as opposed to something that's going to be another big hit. I am finding it harder and harder to get excited about it.

I have agree with others. I see why they got him looks wise, because Jesse Metcalf is truly good to look at! However, acting wise??? Don't even get me started on his Miguel. I too wonder about the amount of primetime roles he's gotten overtime but then again, his looks are what they usually play up the most. I wouldn't mind him tending to my garden, but I don’t care about seeing pretty people on TV if they can’t act worth a lick! The only young person they cast that I cared anything about, so far, was Jordana Brewster. But once they went with Josh Henderson, I just had to sit back, shake my head, and ask, Seriously, WTF??? I don’t want a CW version of Dallas for the adult set, where they eventually phase out the originals for the sake of a Gossip Girl living on Sunset Blvd near 90210. I want the real deal and adding Jesse just doesn't get my hopes up IN THE LEAST! Sigh.

What is so wrong with Josh Henderson? I think he is a pretty good younger actor. He is also from Dallas so he will easily be able to use his accent to fit in better. I do hope they will find a better Christopher though that Jesse Metcalf. I thought someone said that Justin Hartly was in the running too.

Oh, let's just wait and see who gets the role and then we can wait until the show airs before we say we hate it...LOL TNT is not the CW. TNT has great dramas.

Soap Stud, I'm aware that TNT has great dramas, but I'm not keen on some of the casting choices made thus far. That's JMHO on the matter. I'm still going to wait and see, just like Josh and with anything else, despite my griping and begrudging on the matter, but I'm just not as excited as I was before. That could be good or bad, but again, I will wait and see.

ummm what is happening here??? the horrible actors are getting parts??? no this is crushing my dreams.....ok ok breath...what about the guy who plays Phillip on Days of Our Lives?? he is leaving? or the guy who played Nathan Horton these are good actors...Mr.Shirtless on passions is horrible!!!!!!!!!!

I've never seen Metcalfe's appeal. He looks plastic to me, and slightly confused all the time.

Jesse Metcalfe, oh hell no! He's not a bad actor per se, but certianly not good enough to play a member of the Ewing family!
