Reality Hunk Turned Celeb Designer Andrew Kanakis Reveals Golden Globes Best and Worst!

Ah, The Golden Globes red carpet. While we all pretend we tune to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's annual lovefest to find out who will win for this movie/TV show or that one, deep down we know it's the couture stunners and dress disasters that really have us parked on our sofas for the festivities!

To kick off this year's Pop Confidential analysis of the Golden Globes red carpet, I asked my pal Andrew Kanakis to weigh in on who did it best and who was a hot mess. You may remember Kanakis from his turn on the only reality series SOAPnet ever did right, The Fashionista Diaries.

The former menswear designer for Kenneth Cole Productions, who now runs his own consulting firm, which boasts such clientele as The Real Housewives of New York's Kelly Killoren Bensimon and David Hasselhoff, has also appeared on Style Network’s Craft Corner Deathmatch and TLC’s I’ve Got Nothing to Wear. Check out Kanakis' picks below for ultimate Best and Worst, then, keep reading for picks from Pop Confidential's Regan Cellura, Jillian Bowe and Akash Nikolas!

Andrew's Pick for Best Dressed: Olivia Wilde

"This modern day princess ruled the red carpet in a chocolate-and-gold Marchesa masterpiece. The amount of detail was extraordinary, and the antique gold, graduated sequins were only the beginning. It's what was underneath the dress that completed this fairy tale look — Christian Louboutin six-inch heels, decked out with enough glitter to bring sight to the blind."

Andrew's Pick for Worst Dressed: Tilda Swinton

"If anyone has ever wondered what a table cloth and a button-up shirt would look like sewn together to make a dress, well here you have it! In Tilda's defense, I'm sure she had the right intention,  'If you can't be the tablecloth, don't be the dishrag."
