Tim Gunn on "Crack Smoker" Judges and Project Runway's Ridonkulous Finale

Season 8 of Project Runway was one of the show's best in a long time, full of likable underdogs, bitchy villains, personally moving stories and genuine competition-based intrigue, but for most fans and critics, the finale was a big flop.

Gretchen Jones winning over fan-favorite Mondo Guerra, even after the latter presented an ambitious collection—the kind the judges had been praising him for all season long—while the former presented another grungy snore-fest—the kind the judges had been criticizing her for all season—made this the most headscratching season ender ever.
