Is anyone really shocked over the news that The Bachelor's Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi have ended their engagement? When I broke down The Bacherlorette earlier, I mentioned the pair had split, reinforcing my gripe with the franchise. Why invest my time when these couples rarely make it?

There are many theories as to why these couples crash and burn. Most commonly, the time spent apart and the secret rendevous once the series has wrapped filming until the show actually hits our TV screens which puts a strain on the new relationship. When Jake hit the dance floor on Dancing With the Stars, he and Vienna seemed to be doing alright, even performing on the show's finale and if you believe the latest gossip floating around, their break-up had nothing to do with the constraints the show places on them.

Vienna may have been spinning around the dance floor with another man! Rumors have Vienna attached to GREEK star Gregory Michael (Grant), but did she cheat? According to Hollywoodlife.com, Jake and Vienna actually parted ways a month ago and she only recently met and started dating Gregory. If they called it quits long enough for her to meet someone new, why is it only now gettting leaked to the media? Apparently they had to keep up appearances for the show. The now former couple have been providing commentary for Ali's edition of The Bachelorette on ABC.com.
