Movie Maniac's Picks and Pans: Love Happens, Jennifer's Body and The Informant

What some people won't do to make a movie. Apparently Matt Damon completely changed his appearance for The Informant, including a few extra pounds... well, a lot of extra pounds. I'm delighted by the trailer, the clips look good and even the story sounds fun. Matt Damon plays a whistle blower that thinks he's a super spy with hilarious consequences. From the trailer, he nearly gives the G-Men a heart attack. I would not miss this one. Matt Damon is one of my favorites.

I'm reserving judgement on Love Happens. The plot sounds ok – two lonely people concentrating on their careers find love most unexpectedly. While not a fresh plot, Aaron Eckhardt has some real magic, so we can hope. I would love to see Jennifer Aniston break free. I've not really seen anything special from her in a long, long time.
Here's hoping. Cautiously recommending this one.
I can only think of one reason to see Jennifer's Body and that's Megan Fox. Emphasis on Fox. I may pay someone else to see this movie for me so I don't have to – well except later with the sound off. Seriously... think twice before you attend. I'm not recommending it.
