She stars as Amelia Earhart, the legendary aviatrix who was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean but during an attempt to circumnavigational the globe in 1937, Earhart disappeared over the central Pacific Ocean. The film also features Richard Gere and Ewan McGregor. Directed by Mira Nair (Monsoon Wedding and Vanity Fair). Amelia flies into theaters October 23, 2009.
